Granite Shoals Fire Rescue serves a community 7,000 citizens in a 45 square mile response area which includes the City of Granite Shoals, the City of Highland Haven and Burnet County Emergency Service District #3 (BCESD#3) that extends to the county areas between the Llano-Burnet county line in Kingsland to Wirtz Dam Rd, and the CR120-CR123 intersection to Lake LBJ. We are a combination career and volunteer department with 1 Full time salary Fire Chief, 1 Full time Assistant Chief, two Full-time Firefighter/EMT's 6 part time firefighters, 1 Volunteer Captain, 3 volunteer lieutenants, 3 volunteer safety officers, and 15 volunteer firefighters.
