Scioto Valley Fire District is looking to hire personnel for the position of paid—per-call firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics. The department is rich in history but progressive in our response and tactics. We have the latest in training and equipment to serve our community. This paid-per-call position responds to alarms or requests for service, acts in emergencies such as storms, medical emergencies, extinguishing fires, and performs service work as directed. We do offer part-time staffing and our volunteer members are eligible to work shifts after completion of training.

Expectations:
Upon completion of training, some minimum expectations of members include:
• Respond to all calls for service when the member is available
• Attending scheduled training events, normally held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month 7-9 pm
• Assist in public events where the Fire Department is present - Fireworks, parades, etc.
• Continue to seek personal improvement through continued training opportunities
• Above all, uphold the values, traditions, and brotherhood of the fire service

Compensation
• Department will provide all training needed for employment.
• All equipment and Uniforms are provided
• Starting Wage is the minimum wage for no certifications with an increase for certifications
