We are located approximately 11 miles outside and east of the city of Barstow California. Our community is split by Interstate 15, which travels to Las Vegas Nevada. Approximately 80% of our calls are medical aids and a considerable number of them are from multi-vehicle accidents on Interstate 15 that usually requires the use of helicopters to move the patients to various hospitals, etc. We work very closely with adjoining departments includes the US Marine Corps base at the Yermo Annex.

Personnel who reside out of the district are required to commit a minimum of 10 hours per week at the station and attend two trainings each month. Sleeping quarters are available with kitchen, day room with TV, bathroom, and office area. Trainings are every Tuesday and Thursday of the month. ALL personnel are required to attend two trainings per month.

Our call volume is approximately 370 calls annually and equates to approximately 1 call a day.
