While under direct supervision of the Fire Lieutenant or Fire Captain, the Volunteer Firefighter is responsible for protecting citizens and property while performing firefighting, rescue and emergency medical functions. The Volunteer Firefighter may also perform fire prevention, general facility, apparatus maintenance, public education and other related programs and services.
