Members will be required to satisfactorily complete a State of New Jersey approved Firefighter-I course of education, at an accredited fire academy within the first year of membership.

New members that have completed a firefighter 1 program outside the State of New Jersey must file for reciprocity through the State of New Jersey, Division of Fire Safety to obtain their New Jersey Firefighter I Certification within three months.
