Unaka Volunteer Fire Department is a rural fire department that responds to fire and medical calls in the Unaka community of Cherokee County. We need volunteers for all positions, including positions that do not fight fire such as traffic control, logistics, planning and fundraising. Training is provided nearly free of charge at the local community college for fire fighting and medical care.
