Description
Looking for individuals willing to serve the City of Munford as Reserve Firefighters in a volunteer status. Experience and training will accelerate the orientation and training process, but the department will provide training to candidates without training and experience. The department is also looking for interesting individuals with skills that would benefit the fire department in other ways.

Requirements
Candidates must pass a physical agility test, must pass a criminal history background check, and complete an interview panel. Within one year of acceptance, candidates must complete either the 64-hour essentials of firefighting class or Advanced EMT (at candidate's expense). Reserve members are required to complete a minimum of 24 non-consecutive hours of Reserve time each month. Recruits are expected to complete additional hours for training and orientation. Support candidates will be required to pass a criminal history check and interview only. Support candidates are encouraged to complete the 16-hour essentials of firefighting course, but are not required to do so.
