The Volunteer Firefighter and Emergency Medical Responder is a vital position within the community. The volunteer is a a person willing to serve the community by performing fire suppression, emergency medical care, technical rescue and hazardous materials response services to their fellow neighbor. Work is performed under both emergency and nonemergency conditions. Work sometimes involves an element of personal danger and operations in all types of weather conditions. Work is performed under regular supervision.
