This is an un-paid volunteer position for the Tacna Fire Department. The TFD Non-Profit Grant Writer will work to secure funding for the TFD by writing grant proposals and providing supporting materials. This position may be held in conjunction with other volunteer positions within the TFD, including both fire-fighter and administrator positions. This position is open to the community, including current TFD members.

Essential Duties may include the following:
(1) Familiarizing self with an in-depth knowledge of the TFD, including the organization’s programs, goals, and financial needs; (2) Research available grants and stay aware of changing government policies and submission requirements; (3) Compose and submit proposals (including researching, identifying financial needs, obtaining supporting documentation, and maintaining records). (4) Additional duties may occasionally include fundraising campaigns and promoting the TFD through public outreach and relations in coordination with the TFD Public Outreach Coordinator.
