The Cottekill Volunteer Fire Company is seeking six (6) highly motivated and physically fit individuals who can commit to the training demands and the duties described below.

Performs firefighting duties such as combating, extinguishing and preventing fires. Deploys and connects hoses, raises and climbs ladders, uses other firefighting techniques such as ventilating burning buildings, rescuing trapped occupants from burning buildings and vehicle occupants of a motor vehicle accident, performs salvage operations, and responds and performs emergency medical assistance to level of certified training.

Participates in training classes in firefighting, first aid and other related subjects.

Handles routine custodial maintenance of the Fire Company equipment, apparatus and quarters.

Conform to the safety requirements of the Fire Company.
