Description
Richland Township Fire Department is a full service paid-on-call fire department, protecting the well-being and interests of citizens in Richland and Freemont Townships in Saginaw County. We are a progressive department offering fire suppression, hazardous material initial command, medical, and rescue response. All training and equipment is provided and furnished by the fire department.


The fire department is an extended family with members and their family's frequently participating in department and social activities. Though the work can be demanding and stressful, it can also be one of the most rewarding accomplishments of your lifetime.

Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age

- Must have a valid Michigan Driver License

- Must pass a driving and criminal background check

- Must pass a medical physical and physical agility exam

- Required to obtain Firefighter I/II within two years of hire

- Required to obtain Medical First Responder license

- Participate in departmental trainings

- Maintain an adequate response/participation percentage
