Description
We are looking for Firefighters that has a minimum of fire one through the state of Florida have completed NIMS classes and Division of Forestry classes and First Responder. If you do not have these Certifications we offer in house classes as well as sending you through school. For more information on this please contact Chief Jonathan Day at 850-892-4702.

We are in need of support personnel that are motivated individuals. The support team can help in many different ways including but not limited to on calls such as handing out water, changing air pack bottles, Driving trucks, to setting up rehab. The support team also helps with Fundraisers and recruiting of Volunteers.

Drivers/ Operators can drive a truck to get maintenance of to calls and operate the pump.

First Responders go on medical calls wrecks and rescues. Most of our calls are medical calls.

Junior FF's can train and learn take classes and can participate in fundraisers and other activities around the fire house.

Requirements
To be a member of the Argyle Volunteer Fire Department you must hold a valid Florida drivers license, have no Felonies and have a good standing with the community. Comply with the Standard Operating Guidelines set forth by Argyle Volunteer Fire Department which will be provided to you after an application has been accepted. A 90 day probation period for all applicants.

If you are applying for Firefighter position and have your certifications you must attend regular training held every Tuesday night and some weekends. We do not require someone to attend every training but most would be desired. If you are applying for Firefighter position and do not have any certification you must be willing to obtain a G.E.D. and Firefighter one and other required classes in a timely manner.

Support staff will be required to follow Standard Operating Guidelines as well. Once we figure out where you want to be and what you want to do as a support member we will tailor a probation training to meet your needs.

Drivers will need a valid Drivers licenses and take an (EVOC) course Emergency Vehicle Operations Course taught in house.

Students taking advantage of the classes we provide shall need to be prompt and come ready to learn. Students that go to classes taught outside the fire house will need to talk to the Chief and/or board to get further information. If the Argyle Board sends you through school there will be a contract that will need to be signed.

First Responders will need to keep standards up on CPR, AED and First Responders.

Junior FF's will need to a minimum of 16 years of age and comply with Standard Operating Guidelines.
