Description
Spout Springs Emergency Services is a combination department that consists of full-time and volunteer firefighters. Not just firefighting, the department provides technical rescue, limited HAZMAT mitigation and emergency medical. The department operates at the EMT-B level without transport.
Established in 1968 as the "Spout Springs Rural Fire Department", SSES has grown to become one of the leading fire departments in the state of North Carolina.

Requirements
Are you interested in becoming a Volunteer Firefighter. Perhaps you are thinking of pursuing emergency medical training. Regardless, reach out for more information. All volunteers must meet the following requirements:
18 years old
Valid driver's license
Have a high school diploma
Live in or reasonably close to our fire district
Spout Springs FD conducts on-boarding in June and December time frame.
