Description
The Colchester Hayward Volunteer Fire Department provides fire, rescue and emergency medical services to our community of 16,000 residents in a 47 square mile area and respond to an average of 1,900 calls annually. We are looking for member in all divisions.
Fire Division minimum age 18, the division provides fire rescue and hazardous materials response.
Emergency Medical Services minimum age 18, the division provides basic life support and ambulance transport services.
Fire Police minimum age 18, the division provides traffic control and scene security at emergency scenes.
Associate Member minimum age 18, the division provides non emergency support such as fund raising, data entry and administrative support.
Cadet Division is for youths 14 to 17 years of age who are interested in emergency service field.

Requirements
The Town of Colchester Fire Department will provide and or pay for all required training to be come certified as a firefighter or emergency medical technician.
