Join the Cambridge Volunteer Fire Department! We are located right outside downtown Cambridge and serve a population of roughly 6500 people and 68 square miles. We respond to a multitude of situations, including, but not limited to, structure fires, alarms, car accidents, and other hazardous situations. We also routinely assist our sibling department, Cambridge Area EMS, on high acuity medical calls. We provide mutual aid for a number of departments in the area.

The Cambridge Fire Department will provide all necessary personal protective equipment. The CFD will also pay for all trainings, which include entry level firefighting training provided by Madison College.
