A firefighter in the Woodstock Fire Department will bring you an exiting experience responding to all types of emergencies throughout the Town of Woodstock and beyond. The fire department is the first called to respond to fires, accidents, medical emergencies, hazardous materials calls, wilderness rescues, and much more. The fire department also provides educational training to schools and other organizations throughout the town. A multitude of training will be offered to you, all of which will be free of cost. Training available to all members includes how to wear a air pack to go into burning buildings, how to drive a fire truck, EMT training, and more.
The fire department is looking for new members that have an interest in helping their town and can provide as little as a few hours a week to the department. The fire department provides you with a great experience unlike any other organization around.
