Description
Harris-Elmore Fire Department is looking for motivated individuals to fill our volunteer ranks in the position of EMT. Being a volunteer is a rewarding way to give back to your community. As an EMT you must possess the ability to communicate effectively with the public. You will learn to respond to emergency situations and appropriately treat and transport patients in need of care. The State of Ohio requires continuing education and has mandated hours for your level of certification. It takes commitment and dedication, but it is well worth it. If you're willing to put forth the time, we want you. Once certified Harris Township will reimburse all associated expenses for training. Also volunteers are paid per call and drill attended. Our Volunteers work alongside with our Part-Time Paramedics who are on staff 24 hours a day to provide Advanced Life Support to our community.
