Description
The Hughestown Hose Company is currently seeking Emergency Vehicle Operators (EVO) to operate various department fire apparatus. Emergency Vehicle Operators are responsible for safely and efficiently driving apparatus to and from emergencies and non-emergencies. While on scene, operators are responsible for the supervision of the vehicle, assisting in other responsibilities, or controlling fire pumps.

Requirements
All applicants must have or submit to a PA State Police Criminal History Check and a PA Childline Child Abuse Record Check. Personnel are encouraged to be age 18 years or older. Junior Members, age 14 years old to 17 years old, may join and train but will be limited to the duties they may perform. Previous training in fire, rescue, or EMS is strongly encouraged but not necessary.
All applicants, regardless of training, must provide a copy of their current and valid state driver's license and have a clean driving record. Commercial Drivers License (CDL-A or CDL-B) are preferred but NOT required.
Applicants must provide proof they have completed a VFIS, NFA, or equivalent Emergency Vehicle Operators Course. Training will be provided at no cost to applicants that have not completed a Emergency Vehicle Operators Course.
