Volunteer Opportunities
Bondsville Mass- Individuals interested in the fire service or considering a career in firefighting are encouraged to apply for membership in the Bondsville Auxiliary Fire Department. These positions are volunteer (non-paid) and on-call. The work may involve strenuous activity and lifting greater than 40 lbs on a fairly regular basis.

Bondsville Auxiliary Firefighters operates under the direction of the Fire Department. It is a non-paying, non-profit organization whose members volunteer their time, energy and skills to provide support services to Bondsville Fire Department and various town agencies and mutual aid assistance to other communities as requested. The delivery of auxiliary fire services is a unique and complex undertaking. It requires service oriented volunteers who posses sound judgment, physical and moral courage, fidelity and personal integrity. Furthermore, providing auxiliary fire services is a team effort. Each member must posses a strong willingness and capability for being an integral part of a team. Auxiliary Firefighters will be limited to no more than 4 members. Requirements
Minimum Requirements for a Auxiliary Firefighter Be between 16 1/2 and 18 years of age and have a signed parental waiver  No felony convictions  Previous education or experience in the area of firefighting is not necessary. Successful applicants will be provided with the equipment and support needed to complete entry-level firefighting training requirements/ minimum skills requirements (approximately 20 hours) during their probationary period of employment.
