Description
The Volunteers of the Akron Volunteer Fire Company have served their community since 1893. They serve as volunteers as well as hold full time careers outside of the fire service. These men and woman have families and find the time needed to volunteer for their community. Today the members of the Akron Fire Company are asking for your help, for you to get involved, by joining us and becoming a hero to those around you.

Requirements
Firefighters: Make up the emergency response crew and respond to fires, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies and rescues.
Fire Police: Respond to emergencies to direct traffic and provide on scene security
Auxiliary: If you don't want to be an emergency responder we can still use you! The auxiliary holds many fund raising events and also assist firefighters by providing refreshments and other assistance.
