Description
Fort Ellis Fire/Rescue recruits interested candidates year-around for our recruit classes which form in late October. New firefighters will be mentored through initial training to become full members of our department. Fort Ellis Fire/Rescue responds to 250 calls per year, including structure and wildland fire, MVAs on a mountain pass along I-90, EMS, and hazardous materials in our district as well as a member of a robust county mutual aid system.

Requirements
Interested candidates need to be 18 and above, possess a clean driving record and have a passion for both learning and serving our customers. In addition, we have geographic restrictions in order to keep our good response times. Prospective volunteers will be considered if they live within these approximate parameters: Bear Canyon Road on the east, Willson Avenue on the west and Frontage Road on the north.
