Volunteer Category: Firefighter, EMT, Fundraising, Community Education, Department Support, Other

Requirements
All positions-
Must be trustworthy, at least 18 years of age, have no felony record, be willing to submit to a back ground check and drug test if required, and most of all have the desire to selflessly serve the community and fire department in a manner that brings respect and dignity to the department.

Support positions-
Experience in the selected fields a plus and certifications would be great but there is a place for everyone. General knowledge of chosen support category and willingness to be flexible, self-motivated and work well with others. You don't necessarily need your own tools but if you do that's great. You should be healthy enough to safely perform all duties you requested.

Volunteer Firefighter-
TIME, the number one thing you must have is enough time to meet minimum attendance requirements (don't worry, we have some people that work two jobs, have kids and still make time to meet the requirements). No experience necessary but must be willing to train. We provide training and it is for your safety as well as ours and the public (If you've had training that's good also). Must be physically fit; firefighting is a dangerous and demanding job that requires numerous activities in sometimes stressful and extreme environments. Must have heart; the most important quality of a volunteer firefighter is compassion and caring for those in need no matter how small or large the event is. Must have a valid state-issued drivers license and must have dependable transportation (how else are you going to get to the station to drive the big red trucks?).
