Description
Vashon Island Fire & Rescue (VIFR) is currently seeking qualified personnel to fill immediate vacancies and to establish a list for future Firefighter/EMT and EMT Only openings.
Volunteers are responsible for proficient and effective response and performance as a Firefighter, EMT or both Firefighter/EMT; acquiring, maintaining, performing and enhancing the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform prescribed firefighting and EMS functions. This position requires a high degree of cooperative and communicative skills in interfacing with career, command, other volunteers, community members and patients.

Requirements
1. You must be at least 18 years of age at the time the application process is complete.
2. You must possess a valid Washington State driver license.
3. You must pull three 12-hour shifts per month and up to 12 hours of training per month.
4. If you do not live on Vashon, you must complete a Washington State EMT-Basic course prior to applying and have a current CPAT card.
