PO Box 1410
Oakridge, OR 97463

Description
Oakridge Fire and EMS is looking for hard working, motivated volunteer firefighters and EMTs. Oakridge is nestled in Eastern Lane County, approximately 40 miles from Eugene/Springfield. In 2015 Oakridge Fire and EMS ran over 800 medical calls and 70+ fire calls. We staff a first and second out ALS ambulance 24/7. Our ASA (ambulance service area) covers highway 58 from milepost 17 all the way to the Willamette pass ski resort (milepost 62) and the surrounding areas. We also respond to fire calls in the city of Oakridge, Westfir, and Hazeldell Rural Fire District. We couldn't do any of it without the help of our volunteers. Oakridge Fire and EMS has approximately 30 active volunteers and 6 paid personnel. With our increasing call volume, we are in dire need for more volunteers to help staff our agency and help our community.
