Description
Pearson,Willacoochee,Axson Volunteer Fire Department is a County wide Fire Department, We are consolidated with our two Cities. We have 8 stations in service at the present time with 1 more coming on line in the next few months. Our Public Education Department visits our schools and Senior Citizens every year and spends around 5,000 dollars a year promoting Fire Education. Our Support staff work very hard with Fund Raising Events and fellowship within the community. Pearson Volunteer Fire department has several tiers of training not all volunteers are for firefighting as the department is required to perform many tasks such as Code enforcement, Testing of equipment and apparatus, record keeping etc. and sometimes animal removal.

Requirements
Training is a Requirement, Meetings are held once a month at our central office. Every first Saturday of every month except December, for 8 hours each. Not all members have to be 18 years old, our department has a Junior Firefighter Program were youth may attend and begin training. No one under 18 years old can be involved in active firefighting. Back ground checks are required for all members as well as Driver History. Not all training is at the central office as traveling may be required to the Fire Academy. Be of good Moral Character and for firefighting duties be trained to level one firefighter within one year of membership.
