Oakridge Fire and EMS is looking for hard working, motivated volunteer Firefighters and EMS providers. No previous experience is required! Oakridge is nestled in Eastern Lane County, approximately 40 miles from Eugene/Springfield. In 2016, Oakridge Fire and EMS ran over 800 medical calls and 70+ fire calls. We staff a first and second out ALS (advanced life support) ambulance 24/7. Our ASA (ambulance service area) covers Oregon highway 58 from Mile Post 17 all the way to Mile Post 62 (Willamette pass), and the surrounding areas. Our fire district includes the city of Oakridge, Hazeldell rural fire district, and Westfir. Oakridge Fire and EMS has approximately 30 active volunteers and 6 paid career personnel. With our increasing call volume, we are in dire need for more volunteers to help staff our agency and help our community. We couldn't do it without you!
