Tramway Fire Department in Sanford, N.C., is recruiting for volunteer firefighters and firefighter/EMTs. The Department seeks both certified firefighters as well as non-certified, inexperienced persons who are interested in working toward their firefighter certification.

Tramway Fire Department proudly and continuously protects life, property and the environment from fire, natural disasters, and other emergencies for those who live, work and travel through the Tramway fire district and surrounding districts with professional and honest personnel.

Tramway Fire Department is a combination department consisting of 2 full time, 8 hour shift personnel, that work Monday thru Friday 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. In addition to the paid staff, the Tramway Fire Department has approximately 36 dedicated volunteers that respond at a moments notice, 24 hours a day.
