Pend Oreille Fire District 4 is currently in need of Volunteer Firefighters/EMT's. You can find application packets on our website at www.pofd4.org on at Station 41 located in Dalkena ( 11 Dalkena St., Newport, WA 99156 ) during normal business hours.
Our current volunteer staffing is very low and we need you to join our team today! If you are a positive, motivated individual interested in learning the Firefighting trade then we want you! We provide a high level of training at our progressive Fire District. We have up to date firefighting equipment and fantastic facilities that house our apparatus with a great training facility that fosters a positive learning environment.
Volunteers are essential to our success and ability to answer emergency calls and provide a much needed service to our community! We want to add you to our already outstanding team of volunteers who you will work alone side and learn with. The number of volunteers we have has a direct impact on our ability to not only respond to but also mitigate emergencies.
Do you have what it takes to save a life or a home? Few jobs offer this opportunity!
We provide the training and opportunity to become a hero in your community!
Numerous volunteer opportunities exist. Firefighter, EMT's, instructors, fire prevention/education, driver operators, and auxiliary personnel. There is a job for everyone but not always a person for every job. You don’t have to be able to fight fires to volunteer. The fire district is also looking for non-combat volunteers as well. Do you have a passion or specialty in computers, public education, small engine or tool repair, etc? Or maybe you would be interested in helping with the fire district auxiliary, they bring out food & refreshments to the firefighters at the scene of a large emergency. If so we would love to have you as a community volunteer for our fire district.
