Candidates must be 17 years old and high school senior or 18 years old and in most cases depending on the school you attend be a high school graduate or GED. Additionally, you must obtain a physical, obtain your NIMS 100 & 700 Training. It is also recommended to obtain your Basic Wildfire Training and Hazmat Awareness. Depending on the chartered training institution that you attend other requirements may apply.
