Aberdeen Fire Department, Inc. is seeking motivated community oriented individuals searching for opportunities to serve the Aberdeen community as a volunteer firefighter. No prior experience necessary. An exciting and very important service that provides all uniforms, training and equipment at no cost to you. Offers a wide variety of skills and technical training once you have completed Basic Firefighting and Emergency Medical training. Marketable skills include Hazardous Materiel mitigation, EMT/Paramedic certification and National Registry, Technical Rescue (machinery, collapse, high angle ropes, Trench, Confined Space,and Swift water). Other training includes Safety and Safety Officer, Emergency Vehicle Operator and several Administrative courses. All courses are Accredited College level courses through the University of Maryland. Of course, Cruising down the road with lights and sirens, saving lives and property of your neighbors and community is the most amazing and rewarding experience one can experience.
