Description
We are seeking volunteer firefighters in the northern tip of Bedford County and southwestern area of Amherst County. We respond to car crashes, fires of all kinds, water rescues, ATV crashes, and lost/injured hikers on the Appalachian Trail.

Requirements
Prospective members will need to be at least 16 years old, live within relative proximity of Big Island VA, and have or agree to obtain a minimum of Virginia Department of Fire Programs Firefighter 1.
