Description
The Jersey Village Fire Department is seeking volunteers from the community to learn firefighting and respond to emergency calls. All training and equipment is provided to the ideal candidate.
After training to be a firefighter, the ideal candidate will respond to emergency calls to include structure fires, vehicle fires, motor vehicle accidents and rescue calls.

Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age at application time.
- Must have graduated high school or possess a GED at minimum
- Must possess a class C or higher Texas Drivers License
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing
- Must be physically capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs
- Must be able to pass a physical agility test
- Must pass a wellness fitness test
- Must pass a drug screening test
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with other volunteers
- Must attend required training per week
- Must provide a minimum of 12 hours of time per week at the station or on a fire apparatus
- Must have graduated high school or possess a GED at minimum
