Description
Bowling Green Vol. Rescue Squad is currently seeking motivated individuals that are willing to give back to their community through volunteering! We are looking for new and/or experienced providers to provide Emergency Care to the great citizens of Caroline County, VA! We are a small organization stationed in the heart of Bowling Green with a large first due area and are currently second due for the entire county due to our central location. We are a combination station in the county meaning we have 24/7 staffing in house, however as the population grows, our call volume grows as well and we are in need of more members to better serve the community in a timely and professional manner. Training is provided at no cost through Caroline County Fire - Rescue and the opportunities are endless! Our station currently requires each operational member to log a minimum of 20 hours per month to remain in active status with the department. From the time of a membership starting, each individual has 24 months to complete required EMT training, as well as other training required by the county. Once voted in, you will have 4 months to complete the Volunteer Orientation Program which includes 1 classroom session and some online work to review Standard Procedures as well as minimum certifications in order to ride the apparatus with us. Any interested individual may apply for membership at https://co.caroline.va.us/551/Employment-Opportunities, select "Rescue 1" for the department choice, or contact us by email at: bgvrsrescue1@gmail.com. Interested candidates that have any questions may also contact Lieutenant Giles by call or text at 804-512-9901.
