Description
This is a fulltime live-in Resident Volunteer Firefighter position who maintains an EMT or Paramedic certification.

The fulltime live-in Resident Firefighter is provided a primary place of residency in a fire department owned facility at no cost to the Resident Firefighter in exchange for the Resident Firefighter filling 104 hours of scheduled shift each calendar month; consisting of eight 10-hour shifts and one 24-hour shift, or ten 8-hour shifts and one 24-hour shift. Shifts are self-scheduled by the Resident Firefighter and there are no restrictions on when the shift hours must be performed so long as the shift hours are met each calendar month of the year.

Requirements
- IFSAC Firefighter I required; IFSAC Firefighter II preferred.
- National Registry EMT or Paramedic with Washington State Credential at time of appointment or within 90 days.
- Pass department selection process consisting of a general knowledge written test, oral interview, physical agility, background, Chief's Interview, and medical.
