Frenchtown Rural Fire Dist

PO Box 119
Frenchtown, MT 59834

Description
A two year program designed for individuals who are interested in a career in Fire or EMS. Residents live for free at one of our seven fire stations, receive at a minimum their NREMT, Wildland Red Card, and IFSAC FFI certification, and respond as front line firefighters on emergency calls. The residents shifts are on a rotating night and weekend basis, which encourages the resident to have a job or go to school at the nearby University. Many of our former residents have gone on to be hired by career fire departments and EMS services around the country.
