Recruit Volunteer Firefighter

This is an entry-level volunteer firefighter position. Newly selected recruit volunteer firefighters who have no prior experience will attend a 280-hour basic firefighter recruit academy followed by a 260-hour emergency medical technician course.

Following successful completion of the basic firefighter recruit academy the individual must obtain IFSAC Firefighter I certification within 6 months of academy completion; and National Registry EMT certification within 90 days of successful completion of the EMT course.
