Description
The Kearney Volunteer Fire Department is looking for individuals who want to give back to their community. As a member you would respond to fires, rescues, vehicle accidents, hazardous materials events, and natural disasters. Operate and perform routine maintenance on various fire and rescue equipment. Assist with fire prevention, station maintenance and general housekeeping duties.

Requirements
- Completed Application
- A United States Citizen
- A legal resident of the KVFD District
- Live within 5 miles of the city limits of Kearney or Riverdale
- Possess a valid Nebraska Driver’s License
- Driver’s Abstract History is reasonably clean
- At least 19 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Possess good moral character that will be verified thorough a background check
- The ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing for safety and operational purposes
- A United States Citizen
