Description
Come Paid-on-Call Fire Fighters (unscheduled part-time) where • Firefighter l & ll and Basic EMT training is provided. Members will be provided with Free Training, Paid while attending Training. Once completely trained, personnel will not only be able to respond to Emergency within their districts and called upon to assist other districts within the community, but fully trained members will be able to work scheduled shifts in the evening and weekends, fully paid and fully trained.
Auxiliary Fire Fighters (scheduled part-time), Already trained Fire Fighter I & II as well as EMT will begin working 4 hour and 12 hour shifts to familiarize themselves Departmental Operations and Emergency Responses until approved to work Weekend and Evening Shifts with already qualified and experienced members of the Department.

Requirements
The Novi Fire Department is currently accepting applications for Paid-on-Call Fire Fighters and Part Time Scheduled personnel called Auxiliary. To be eligible, applicants must have a High School Diploma, must be 18 years old, must live within one mile of city limits (For POC), and must have no criminal record and a good driving record. Michigan Fire Fighter I &II and Basic EMT are preferred (Auxiliary) , however, all individuals meeting the minimum qualifications as described above will receive required training. Paid-on-Call Fire Fighters provide coverage of nights and weekends. This part time position responds to alarms or requests for service, acts in emergencies such as storms, medical emergencies, extinguishing fires and performs service work as directed. You will work under the supervision of the Director of EMS/Fire Operations or designated supervisor.
