Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs firefighting, haz-mat, and heavy rescue activities. Operates firefighting apparatus. Performs emergency medical service activities including providing assessment, treatment, stabilization and assisting ambulance crews . Participates in monthly training, attends classes in firefighting, emergency medical, hazardous materials, and related subjects. Operates radios and other communications equipment. Maintains fire equipment, apparatus and facilities.
Upon completion of training applicants will be certified State of Michigan Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Hazardous Materials Operations and Medical First Responder (MFR).

Requirements
Minimum Requirements: 18 years of age or older, Michigan Drivers License (with clean driving record), High School Diploma or equivalent, no felony convictions.
