Description
Paid on call fire fighters will respond to fires, medical emergencies, personal injury accidents (Motor vehicle crashes), non emergencies incidents, hazardous material spill/leaks and provide assistance to the general public. Essential duties: ensure all assigned station apparatus and equipment are in state of readiness carries out duties in a safe and efficient manner performs tasks during scene operations: including locating incidents, driving and operating apparatus, proficient use of equipment, tools and supplies to suppress fire, rescue persons, and provide pre hospital medical treatment, and contain hazardous material spill or leaks. performs maintenance of facilities, apparatus and equipment delivers public education programs prepares incident and associated reports ensure personal conduct and performance conform to department policy and procedure attends required monthly training and meetings, maintains all licenses, Participates in department functions, Strong desire to serve Willing to respond week day, week day nights and weekends.

Requirements
Minimum 18 years of age or older High school diploma or GED Valid Michigan Drivers license Good driving record No criminal convictions Satisfactory employment record Good Physical Condition- capable of performing fire fighting and emergency medical service tasks Strong desire to serve Willing to respond week day, week nights and weekends, Complete an application at Melrose Twp. Hall located at 04289 M75 N Walloon Lake, Fire meetings and Drills are the first and third Thursday of every month stop in and see us, Must live in or near Melrose Twp. or Chandler Twp. Training will be provided.
