Description
Provide EMS coverage for the citizens and visitors of the Town of Northfield Massachusetts. Northfield EMS is a paramedic level municipal third service staffed by mostly volunteers who respond from home by pager to approximately 325 calls a year. The current rate as of 7/1/2017 is $17hr for calls.
Other opportunities for daily shift coverage exists with preference given to ALS providers at the $17hr rate.

Requirements
Preferred - currently Massachusetts certified EMT's and Paramedics that live within a reasonable response area of the borders of Northfield Massachusetts. All levels must hold a valid BLS CPR at the healthcare provider level card, a valid drivers license and be able to pass a CORI check. Paramedics must also hold a valid ACLS card.
For ALS providers who reside outside a reasonable response area for on call status, must pass a pre employment physical and commit to a minimum shift per week.
Consideration will be given to those that will enter into a certification course within 6 months. Financial assistance is available to those who agree to a two year active service agreement with the department.
