Positions available for our "Live-In" program with a busy department (over 1700 calls annually)! Recently renovated Dormitory facilities! Private and semi-private rooms!

**Eligible for FULL Scholarship at the Community College of Allegheny County** Scholarship can be used for ANY of CCAC's 150 programs, including Fire Science, Paramedic, Registered Nursing, and many more!

We provide Engine Company, Truck Company, Rescue first-response, and Medical first-response services. We respond to over 1700 annual calls with an Engine, a Ladder Tower, and two SUVs. Our membership consists of a diverse group of individuals, coming from all over the area and some even from out of state. Through aggressive and progressive SOGs, riding assignments, and unit assignments, we pride ourselves in our tactics and operations. Our Dormitory Program helps us in our goal of providing a 24/7/365 in station crew. Members can have their own private or semi-private sleeping quarters in exchange for meeting certain training requirements and giving 40 hours of staffing each week. Bunk rooms are also available for members to stay overnight or for several days. In addition, our Dormitory includes three full bathrooms with showers, storage for belongings, laundry facilities, a full kitchen, a lounge and a day room, and a computer with a scanner/printer, and free WiFi.

Requirements

-Must pass background checks as required by PA Law. Training provided.
-Live-in applicants must have Hazmat Operations, CPR, and either Essentials/Interior Firefighter OR a PA EMS certification.
-Assistance with Reciprocity available for out of state applicants.
-Firefighter 1, EMT, Vehicle Rescue, and EVOC highly preferred, and is encouraged for all Live-Ins within a year after joining (but not all required).
-Must commit 40 hours of staffing per week.
-Must be either full time employed or full time student, OR a combination of part-time employed and part-time student.
