Description
Shawnee County Fire District #2(aka Auburn Fire) is looking for highly motivated individuals to join the dedicated members of our department as a volunteer firefighter. Joining this department offers a rewarding opportunity to serve your community. SCFD #2 offers free initial and continued training. Upon release from probation, SCFD #2 will pay for EMT school and certification for those who make an application through the chain of command, as well as Firefighter 1 and 2 certification.

Requirements
18 years of age at the time of appointment.
Be able to pass the SCFD #2 physical agility test.
Be able to sign the SCFD #2 physical assessment form.
Live within the confines of or within 2 miles of the fire district.
Posses a valid drivers license.
Be able to pass a Kansas Bureau of Investigation background check in conjunction with department policy.
Members must attend 1 fire drill per month.
Members must attend 20% of calls per month.
New members must attend and pass the department "Rookie Class".
Be able to pass the SCFD #2 physical agility test.
