Durbin Creek fire and rescue is now accepting applications for the following positions.

PLEASE NOTE: NO TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED TO APPLY, ONLY THE DESIRE TO LEARN.
The department will send you to fire academy classes of your choice for free.

Requirements
FOR FIREFIGHTER/FIRST RESPONDER/SUPPORT (Engineer)
There is a minimum requirement of 25% of department calls that members must attend, also members must come to 50% of department hosted training. If there is a legitimate reason as to why a member cannot attend training on a regular basis due to a scheduling conflict, a makeup session can be hosted at any day of the week that works for them.
Foremost, the department requires all members maintain a professional and responsible attitude inside and outside the department.
FOR AUXILIARY:
Auxiliary members are responsible for helping on scene at calls with examples like; handing out bottled water and towels at fires, setting up a tent for calls that firemen will be on scene for an extended amount of time and inclement weather is around. Auxiliary members are also in charge of putting together/hosting fund raisers for the department and putting together the departments annual Christmas dinner. Auxiliary members are allowed to respond on fire apparatus to calls and are allowed to take any fire academy courses desired.
