Description
The Cherrydale Volunteer Fire Department (CVFD), founded in 1898, is one of the few remaining volunteer fire departments in Arlington, Virginia. Helping career Firefighters/EMTs, CVFD serves Arlington County, a community of over 200,000 residents and home to some of our nations most historic landmarks including the Pentagon and Arlington National Cemetery. Volunteer Firefighter/EMTs in Arlington ride alongside career personnel out of any of the 10 ACFD stations located throughout the county or provide direct support during special events and major storms out of the volunteer fire station. CVFD is not only looking for operational members, but also administrative members who can assist in public education, fundraising efforts and volunteer management.

Requirements
Must be 18 Years of Age or Older
GED or HS Diploma
Willing to serve a minimum of 15 hours/month
Full Operational members will need to pass Firefighter and EMT courses within 2 years
Operational members will need to pass a Candidate Physical Agility Test (CPAT)
Willing to commit to at least 3 years of service
