Become a volunteer firefighter/EMT with FHC. We are looking for individuals who are interested in giving back to the Newville community. We are currently seeking volunteers for the following positions - firefighter, EMT, social member (assist with fundraising and administrative tasks), and junior members (ages 14-17). We are an all volunteer department operating an engine rescue, engine tanker, heavy rescue, brush unit, 3 basic life support ambulances, and 3 support units. We respond to approximately 350 fire/rescue incidents a year, and 1300 EMS incidents. Last year we had 23 working fires, 13 vehicle accidents with entrapment. Our department is seeking help in all areas of our department, so even if you are not interested in responding to emergencies, you can still help with fundraising and administrative tasks within our department.
