Description
CVFD provides all of the training you need to become State Firemen’s & Fire Marshals’ Association (SFFMA) certified as a firefighter in Texas. CVFD hosts a recruit academy twice each year which starts from the ground up in both classroom and hands-on training. Individuals with prior firefighting experience may not have to attend the academy and will be handled on a case-by-case basis based on the individual’s knowledge, experience, and skill set.

Becoming a first responder is truly a life changing decision. The experiences to be gained and the impact to be made is unparalleled in any other profession.

Requirements
18 Years of Age
Legally Able to Work in the United States
Successful completion of a physical agility test (PAT)
Pass a Criminal Background Check and Drug Screening
Complete CVFD's Fire Academy (Free of Charge) or have previous experience/certifications that meet the entrance requirements
