Description
The Jackson Mills Volunteer Fire Company (Station 54) is looking for new members from our community. Required equipment and training will be provided to you at no cost. We simply ask for your time and dedication.

Members have the option of responding to either fire station. Our locations are:

Station 54-1: 550 West Commodore BLVD, Jackson NJ 08527

Requirements
Firefighters
Must be eighteen (18) years of age or older and of sound mind and a citizen of the United States. Applicants must have a valid State of New Jersey (NJ) drivers license. You will be required to pass a background investigation as well as a complete medical evaluation.
Junior Firefighters
Must be sixteen (16) and not older than eighteen (18) years of age and of sound mind and a citizen of the United States.
- Must be willing to attend the fire academy within one (1) year of joining at no cost to the member
- Meetings, drills, and work nights take place on Monday evenings starting at 7pm EST
Residency Restrictions:
The applicant must reside within a three (3) mile radius of either company fire station(s), reside in Fire District No. 4, or reside within one (1) mile from the borders of Fire District No. 4.
