Description
Volunteer firefighter/EMT opportunity within the Ruston Fire Department. Offers a weekly training curriculum, stipend, and a Department sponsored firefighter academy. This position offers a great opportunity to serve close to Tacoma, WA, gain exposure to the fire service, and gain certifications that are required by many career fire departments.

Requirements
We welcome you to come meet our crew while we participate in our Thursday night training drills. You are welcome to apply for membership if you meet the requirements below and have attended three of our training drills.
*Participate in flexible day and night shift requirements, currently 18 hours per month
*75% drill attendance - We train Thursday nights at 18:00 to 21:00
*Required to attend the sponsored volunteer firefighter academy if you don't have a Firefighter 1 certificate
*Obtain an EMT-B certification within 1 year of start date
*Ability to pass physical/medical examination (We'll pay for that) within 30 days of recruit status
*18 years of age
*High school diploma or G.E.D.
*Satisfactory driving record
*No felony arrest record
