Minot Vol Fire Dept

329 Woodman Hill Rd
Minot, ME 04258
207-345-3115

Description
Minot Fire-Rescue is a volunter/paid on call department serving the community of Minot. Currently we are in need of volunteers who have experience in patient care, firefighting or are willing to learn. This is a rewarding opportunity to give back to your community and help others in their time of need. Members of the Minot Fire Department respond to fires, car accidents, medical emergencies and many other events called into the Androscoggin Regional 911 center. Members do receive an hourly wage based on experience and certification levels while assisting at an emergency scene, attending our monthly trainings/meetings or while at other department sanctioned events.

Members of the Minot Fire-Rescue Dept also participate in various community events and provide fire safety education to the students of the Minot Consolidated School every October.

To learn more about this opportunity contact Dale Doughty at (207) 329-8337.

Volunteer Category: Firefighter, EMT, Community Education, Department Support

Requirements
A background in the medical field, military or fire service is preferred but we will train those willing to learn. Must be at least 16 years old with parental permission to participate in training. Must be 18 or older to become a full member. Must be relatively physically fit and be able to pass a background check.

Not all members serve in a full firefighting capacity so those not willing, certified or able to enter a burning building are welcome and will be trained to assist with other responsibilities and support roles.
